"I Like Jazz"

Sundays at 4 pm, Micah Carrick brings you “I Like Jazz,” the show that takes a moment to relax from the breakneck speed of life to enjoy some recordings of a truly American art form, Jazz. 

From timeless jazz giants like Louis Armstrong, Duke Ellington and Charlie Parker to today’s jazz trailblazers the music is always swinging! Though it has a rich history, Jazz is very much alive today and this show exists at the intersection of tradition and innovation.

 

Since the show’s hosted by a Band director, each week you’ll be schooled in Jazz Vocabulary designed to get you sounding as cool as the music you love. If your toe’s not tapping, you’d better check your pulse.
